Sleep 5 to 6 hours and a half of women’s pregnancy
Women don’t have to worry about lack of sleep. They can’t sleep for 7 to 8 hours a night. In fact, they only have to sleep for 5 hours to 6 hours and a half.
Earlier this year, a large study showed that less than 7 hours of sleep a day was associated with an increased risk of heart disease; another study asserted that people who slept less than 6 hours a night were more likely to sue before the age of 65.
However, according to the British “Daily Mail” report, the latest study of 459 elderly women in the United States found that people who had a short sleep time had previously recommended 7 hours, and their life expectancy was longer than those who slept longer.
Researchers hope that their findings will help eliminate the idea that many people think they are not getting enough sleep.
Although experts recommend that adults sleep 7 to 9 hours a night to stay healthy, many people actually sleep much less than this standard.
Researchers at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine have been conducting research since 1995, tracking women between the ages of 50 and 81 who want to re-sleep and die, and found that they only sleep 5 hours a night.People who have been in the 6th and a half hours have the highest survival rate.
When they started the study, they used the wrist activity monitor to observe the sleeping habits of the subjects. These devices were able to determine whether the subject was sleeping or not by the activity, and then calculated the total sleep time of one night.
Last year, researchers tried to contact all of these women 14 years later to see if they were still alive. They found that people who slept more than six and a half hours a night, and those who were less than five hours old, may still be alive a lot lower.
Professor Kripke, who was the moderator of the study, said: “What is surprising is the objective sleep time. It is found that people who sleep only 5 hours to 6 hours and a half have the best survival rate.
He said that the research report originally published in the “Sleep” journal should be able to alleviate some people’s worries about their lack of sleep.
